Our Mission

Megaphone is a non-profit organization founded by Sam Reich and Elaine Carroll with the mission to amplify in-need artists. At a moment when Hollywood is producing fewer projects and public arts funding is eroding, independent creators need support now more than ever.

The internet offers opportunity, but rarely without a boost—a megaphone, if you will. Established in 2025 as an experiment in “giving while living,” Megaphone is a 501(c)(3) organization registered in the state of California.
